The Struggle–The Thing No One Wants to Talk About!

I’ve been working on this one painting for weeks. It just wasn’t good. It wasn’t talking to me. Every painting, script, or novel goes through an ugly stage.  You create a foundation and you run with an idea. Later you find yourself saying, “What was I thinking?”

We never see the ugly stuff. We don’t post blogs or videos of failed or ugly paintings. We rarely talk about the struggle. 

Well–until now. This struggle has reminded me of things that I should pay more attention to when I’m creating. In this video, I talk about the struggle and what I am doing to make this painting into something interesting to look at again.   Take a look and let me know your thoughts!
