Yesterday, I had the honor to interview Professor Michael Pearce, the founder of The Representational Art Conference sponsored by California Lutheran University. This is the first of many All Things Creative (formerly Art Chat) podcasts I’ll be doing in the future. It is always an informative and fun time talking with Michael and this chat is no exception.
As you know, I will be speaking at the conference which is being held on March 31-April 4th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Ventura, California. To all of us in the cold weather–if you need an excuse to sink your toes into the sand, have a look at this photo. Yes, that is the Pacific ocean and the place were the conference is being held. I’m so there! (OK–yes I have to be there, but still, every time I think of it I smile that I am going to be so close to the ocean!! My toes will be in that sand at some point!)
I interviewed Michael back in 2014, when Art Chat interviewed speakers, demonstration artists, vendors and guests at the conference then. This time, I talk to Michael about TRAC2019, its theme (Imagination), featured presenters (Cheech Marin, Roger Dean (Avatar–yes the movie), Corinna Wagner, and Tim Jennison. There are many more speakers, demonstration artists, and of course the sponsors who make this happen. So have a listen to see what you will miss if you don’t register!
Speaking of registering, select this link: https://www.trac2019.org/ look for the red Register button on the right and select it. You’ll be well on the way to having a great time, discussing imagination with those of us who live in that world, and hearing some amazing speakers. Hope to see you there!
