Hello Painting Tribe,
On this Saturday morning (6/13/2020) I wanted to take a few minutes and record via Zoom a book recommendation for all of us who want to practice or focus on our drawing skills. You’ll know this is a very casual video because I’m in a t-shirt and not dolled up. But hey, we painters need to be comfortable! Literally, this was just a trial with Zoom and I wanted to see how it worked. It was so easy, I decided to capture it and post for you all to enjoy!
I’ll play more with lighting so that you can possibly see my eyes through the glasses. Probably lots more I’ll be learning when I get into webcams and such. But I hope this little introduction to this book is informative and that you will find it helpful.
Juliette Aristides is a dear friend and fellow artist. She runs her own atelier (a fancy French word for school ), in Seattle. I met Juliette at Weekend with the Masters and her knowledge and skill are extraordinary. She loves talking art skills, art history and is very well versed in both. End of disclaimer… 🙂
Have a look at the video and let me know if you have any questions. You can order her book here: https://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Drawing-Atelier-Instructional-Sketchbook/dp/1580935125
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers,
Linda
