Happy New Year!
I just wanted to drop by for a quick note to let you know that I’ll be recording a new All Things Creative/Art Chat on Wednesday, January 7th.
As you know (or maybe not), I’m a bit of a movie/series buff. Of course, this stems from my wanting to be a screenwriter/director and journeyed down an alternate path that had me testing toilet paper and baby diapers. But life has interesting twists and turns. I still may not be a screenwriter or director, but writing my novel series makes me feel like I am.
One of these journeys took me in the direction of meeting fellow master artist, George Gallo, through our mutual love of painting. George had an exhibition at the Butler Institute a few years back. Tom and I traveled up to see George and that is where I met Dick Atkins and his lovely wife Joanna. Little did I know that I was talking to a movie producer and Joanna had starred in many shows/plays including a Saturday morning program called Isis–a show I watched!
They were so friendly and we formed a friendship, keeping in touch over the years. Joanna is a big fan of my novels and is anxiously waiting for book five.
Dick has appeared on All Things Creative/Art Chat once before, entertaining us with funny and informative stories about his work. This time, we are going to visit each phase of the process from script to finished production. I’m sure there will be many funny stories along the way.
